Happy Holidays!
Every Christmas, I have the pleasure of doing a fundraiser for different organizations I care about. This year, I have the blessing of getting to do it for In Bloom!
I am flying back to Cape Town right after Christmas to officially get operations started on the ground. Donations from this fundraiser will help cover In Bloom’s startup expenses, ongoing operational costs, and our very first community workshop!
To say I am excited for this chapter would be an understatement. Everything I have been working towards for the last 12 months has led me here.
Why I Started In Bloom
I started In Bloom because I met a 4 year old boy who was struggling with hunger. I began bringing him food every day, but when I left South Africa, I realized that the help I had been giving him wasn’t something he could depend on long term.
I tried finding other ways to support him, but after talking with people in the community, I began to understand that helping children often starts with supporting the women and mothers raising them.
That experience change the way I looked at helping others. I realized I didn’t just want to provide temporary help. I wanted to be a part of creating opportunities for women and girls to build better futures for themselves, and in doing so, help create lasting change for generations to come.
Be Part of Our Beginning
We are a grassroots nonprofit, meaning we are building In Bloom from the ground up, and would love for you all to be a part of it!
Whether you feel called to contribute financially or follow our story, we are so grateful you are here.
Each donation will go towards our startup operational expenses and our first community workshops!
As I prepare for this next chapter, I invite you all to help me in building In Bloom!
Thanks so much for being here!
